Educational Philosophy

MIC will adhere to the concept of "holistic education" of "academic achievement, comprehensive literacy, and personality development" and "student-centered", firmly believing that "every child is unique and has their own talents and strengths".

Whole-person education does not mean a "big and complete" approach literally. Instead, it focuses on the individualized growth and future development needs of students. This approach requires considering each student's personality, characteristics, strengths, and future professional aspirations to implement personalized education. Every student is unique and possesses their own talents; therefore, we cannot apply the same standard or fixed model for all students. We must also avoid focusing solely on academic performance while neglecting essential skills, such as leadership, critical thinking, practical abilities, teamwork, determination, empathy, intercultural understanding, scientific literacy, and artistic literacy. Academic achievements and the development of comprehensive skills are complementary and mutually reinforcing.

At MIC, we have established two international curriculum systems: the IGCSE & A-Level courses and the Canadian BC course. Each system has its own unique advantages and is suited for different types of students. We are committed to selecting and training teachers in strict accordance with international curriculum standards. This includes conducting teaching and research, evaluating teaching effectiveness, and organizing examinations.

Additionally, we implement tiered and targeted teaching methods to support both high achievers and those who may need extra assistance. Our goal is to enhance students' subject performance, English proficiency, and practical application skills.

To promote and support the individualized development of students and enhance their overall abilities, we encourage students to form clubs independently and engage in a variety of club activities and competitions. We believe in providing opportunities for students to showcase their talents on larger platforms.

Our guidance and support extend to encouraging students to participate in different types of international competitions, laboratory research projects, volunteer activities, online summer schools hosted by prestigious universities, and academic summits from top institutions. These experiences aim to strengthen students' comprehensive skills, including academic literacy, scientific inquiry, leadership, and social responsibility.

The school functions as a large family and community, and we encourage all staff, parents, organizations, and individuals who support us to prioritize student-centered approaches. Our main focus is on fostering the growth and development of our students, guided by the principles of education. Together, we aim to support and facilitate the development of every student.
