Majestic International College: Bridge to Elite Global Universities

Publish time:2025.07.02

The distance between a child and a world-class university may be just an admission offer from MIC (Majestic International College).

Since its founding in 2017, this "dark horse" school in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has been transforming the perception of international education with its exceptional college admission achievements. Over six graduating classes, 100% of MIC students have secured admission to prestigious global universities, including top institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, Cornell, the University of California, and the University of Hong Kong. For the class of 2025, an impressive 98.8% of graduates received offers from QS world top 100 universities, and 94% were admitted to world top 50 universities.

Behind these achievements are students who aren't "naturally gifted" but dare to dream, a faculty that understands students and the world, and a commitment to the practice of "holistic education."

The faculty of MIC is the cornerstone of its students' academic success.

MIC has been sending a large number of outstanding students to renowned universities at home and abroad.

Since its founding in 2017, MIC has been sending outstanding students to renowned universities at home and abroad with its excellent teaching results, enabling students to succeed and giving parents peace of mind.

The data shows that 100% of MIC's six graduation classes have been admitted to world-famous universities, including prestigious ones like Oxford University, Cambridge University, Cornell University, and the University of Hong Kong. In the past three years, the rate of MIC graduates admitted to universities ranked within the top 100 by QS World University Rankings has been steadily increasing. So far, 98.8% of the class of 2025 have received offers from top 100 universities, and 94% have received offers from top 50 universities.

MIC is famous for its high admission rate, but unlike schools in China and the province that select students based on scores, MIC focuses not only on scores but also on students' potential. According to a teacher from MIC's admissions office, some students who entered MIC with scores high enough for key high schools in the city have eventually been admitted to top universities like Oxford, Cambridge, and Ivy League schools. Meanwhile, some students who didn't meet the high school admission score requirements have also made a "remarkable transformation" at MIC and successfully entered world-class universities. A parent of an MIC graduate said, "A school's real strength lies in its ability to cultivate ordinary students to enter world-class universities."

MIC's faculty is the cornerstone of its students' academic success. Currently, the student-teacher ratio at MIC is 6:1, with 80% of Chinese teachers having overseas study or work experience and 80% holding master's or doctoral degrees. In the UK department, 40% of teachers are foreign and 60% are Chinese; in the BC department, all subject teachers are certified by the British Columbia Ministry of Education in Canada.

MIC's British IGCSE and A-Level courses, as well as its Canadian BC curriculum, have built a bridge for students to enter top global universities. In 2023, MIC's international school program was approved by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, marking a solid step forward for the school in the field of international education.

"These international curricula not only endow students with academic knowledge but also cultivate their ability to solve practical problems and shape their cross-cultural communication skills," said Feng Xiaosheng, principal of MIC. He stated that cross-disciplinary and multi-cultural education helps MIC students better face future challenges.

As a "dark horse" in the international education community of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, MIC has achieved remarkable results in various industry rankings. At the "2023 Boao Education Summit," MIC was awarded the "2023 International Education Outstanding Contribution Award." In addition, MIC ranked among the "Top 20 Most Competitive International Schools Nationwide" by KingLead Institute in both 2024 and 2025.

MIC's "holistic education" philosophy is based on the belief that "life is education and school is society."

Feng Xiaosheng said that this educational philosophy, advocated by Mr. Tao Xingzhi and John Dewey, is also respected by MIC. "We guide students to learn in life, enabling them to adapt to and solve problems in real-life situations, and to cultivate global elites who can adapt to the future."

MIC adheres to the "4C" holistic education philosophy — Cheerful, Cooperative, Creative, and Challenging. It believes that "every student is unique with their own talents and potential," and is committed to the "coordinated development of academic achievements, comprehensive qualities, and personal character." Centered on students, MIC aims to cultivate talents with "Chinese sentiment, international vision, and the ability to adapt to the future, to go out and come back, and to walk freely in the world," helping students soar on the global stage.

"If we only have students with their heads buried in books on campus, yet expect them to become 'well-rounded individuals' immediately after entering society, that's unrealistic," said Feng Xiaosheng. To cultivate well-rounded talents, it's necessary to gradually shape students' abilities and character from a young age. Therefore, MIC refuses to be an "ivory tower" and strives to closely connect education with the real world. It teaches students to enhance their cognition, learn to discern, and handle conflicts and confusion in the midst of confusion, contradictions, and trial-and-error, thereby gaining wisdom and becoming tempered.

The rich campus activities at MIC vividly reflect its "holistic education" philosophy. Under the school's support, students have spontaneously established over 30 clubs, such as basketball clubs, cooking clubs, Model United Nations, and technology innovation clubs. At MIC, student development is highly valued. Physical education, arts, and technology courses are never encroached upon, and there are even fixed club activity periods every Tuesday and Thursday.

In addition to club activities, MIC organizes a variety of theme events to provide students with opportunities and platforms for innovation, practice, display, and growth. These include freshman orientation camps, principal dinners, Mid-Autumn Festival Hanfu garden parties, MIC talent shows, New Year's galas and coming-of-age ceremonies, and business simulation competitions.

"Helping students gain admission to their ideal universities has always been one of our goals, but it's not the only one," said Feng Xiaosheng. MIC's "holistic education" focuses not only on academic achievements but also on the cultivation of emotions, values, and a global perspective. Feng Xiaosheng used an "iceberg" as a metaphor: admission results are just the tip of the iceberg, while the underlying qualities like vision, resilience, and tolerance form the foundation for students' lifelong development.

Feng Xiaosheng stated that the school aims to cultivate students' abilities to ask questions, analyze problems, and solve problems, and to help them gradually become confident, brave, collaborative, ambitious, creative, and responsible lifelong learners, future changemakers, and individuals who can lead happy lives.

"From MIC to the world, we look forward to your joining," he said.

Innovative Practices: Personalized Education to Help You Achieve Your Unique Potential

MIC's "holistic education" isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, it tailors personalized growth paths for students based on their individuality, strengths, and future career directions, promoting all-around development.

"Every student has potential. Our job is to discover and cultivate that potential and support children in pursuing their dreams," said Feng Xiaosheng, principal of MIC . He emphasized that the school doesn't evaluate students solely based on exam results. Having advantages in areas like social skills, spatial thinking, sports, or music appreciation are also valuable traits.

In MIC's philosophy, every student possesses unique talents. Students shouldn't be educated with a single standard or fixed model, nor should academic achievements be the only focus while neglecting leadership, critical thinking, practical abilities, teamwork, and scientific and artistic literacy.

MIC offers two international curriculum systems, each with its own strengths and suitable for different students. The school strictly selects and trains teachers according to international curriculum standards and conducts teaching research, assessment, and examinations. On this basis, MIC implements tiered and categorized teaching to help students improve their academic performance, English proficiency, and application skills.

To promote students' personalized development and comprehensive ability cultivation, MIC encourages students to form clubs, participate in various club activities and competitions, and engage in international academic competitions, laboratory research projects, volunteer work, summer schools at world-renowned universities, and academic summits at top universities. These activities further develop students' subject literacy, scientific spirit, leadership, and social responsibility.

"We believe every student is unique with special talents. MIC encourages students to explore their interests and develop their strengths to become the best version of themselves," said Feng Xiaosheng. He noted that the school brings together teachers from around the world, who, with their diverse educational backgrounds and cultural charm, provide personalized teaching. They cultivate students' global perspective, cross-cultural thinking, critical spirit, and resilience, helping them face future challenges, understand responsibility and gratitude, and grow into confident and well-rounded global talents.
