At Meilun, one day is a day of PD Professional Development Day, where teachers pause, learn to improve and reflect on educational methods and effectiveness, and improve their skills and knowledge as educators through peer discussion and mutual learning.
In order to further improve the professional capabilities of the teaching team and functional team, and empower all departments and departments, on March 3, Meilun International Education held the 10-2022 faculty and staff training activity, where nearly 2023 Meilun faculty and staff gathered together to learn from each other.
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Feng Xiaosheng, President of Meilun, gave an opening speech, in which he reviewed Meilun's educational philosophy, values, challenges and achievements in the past year, and the steady development of all schools and the continuous expansion of Meilun's brand influence.
He introduced that Meilun adheres to the principle of "student-centered, striver-oriented", implements the theory of "whole-person education", explores students' own personality and characteristics through inspiration and guidance, and cultivates "whole-person" students who pursue excellence, improve academic performance, skill acquisition, character development and can think independently. Similarly, Meilun is committed to guiding each faculty member to engage in critical reflection and collaborative inquiry to promote personal professional development, better integrate Meilun's vision and mission, and help improve students' learning outcomes and physical and mental health.
To this end, this PD day specially invited Monica, an expert in thinking training, human resources and guided teaching technology, who shared from industry changes to personal ability improvement to long-term career planning around the theme of "how to reshape personal career life", and interacted with Meilun faculty and staff.
Monica was previously HR Director of Unilever and author of Alibaba Human Resource Management Law. Based on her own experience and teaching examples, she led faculty and staff to think out of the box from the perspective of outside the education industry, and presented interesting and vivid and highly professional theme content sharing with cross-industry thinking.
During the workshop, Meilun faculty and staff from different departments and departments actively participated in interactive exchanges in the workshop, sharing their thoughts and thoughts with each other, brainstorming in group discussions and creations, learning together and making progress together.
How do changes in the workplace and industry affect us? How to improve the competitiveness of the school by improving its own capabilities? How to use the career canvas to do long-term career planning... In the event sharing, everyone talked about the difficulties encountered in teachers' professional development, raised questions about teaching and learning, and learned from each other more actively. This practice is consistent with Meilun's educational mission, giving teachers the opportunity to develop through challenge and encouragement, and is also supported by educational research theory.
In the afternoon, the UK Faculty and the BC Faculty also organized teaching seminars. The UK Divisions focused on topics such as teaching method improvement and exam preparation, while the BC Divisions discussed BC assessments. Teachers in each department can not only improve the quality of teaching in a comprehensive way through professional learning, but also promote friendship and mutual progress between each other.
