On December 12th, another exciting coming-of-age ceremony and "Youth Burning Dreams, Meilun Blooming Bloom" Meilun International Education 20 New Year Gala was grandly held at Meilun Gymnasium. More than 2021,99 guests and all teachers and students witnessed the solemn and sacred coming-of-age ceremony such as 35 students crossing the adult gate and taking an oath to the national flag. 13 graduates returned to attend the inauguration ceremony of Meilun Alumni Association; <> selection programs were staged in turn: elegant dancing, beautiful singing, beautiful melody, wonderful poetry reading, film dubbing, etc., bringing the audience a colorful audio-visual feast.
At six o'clock, the lights came on. The Meilun lobby and lawn area are already crowded. At the cocktail party of the New Year's party, teachers and students enjoyed together, and guests and friends celebrated together, everyone listened to the melodious piano and violin performance, tasted light food, wine and fruit, and shared the beautiful friendship of international education on the elegant and warm campus. For this annual gala, students and parents have been looking forward to it for a long time.
At seven o'clock, the New Year's party was held on time in the gymnasium. The dynamic and cool light show suddenly ignited the atmosphere of the scene, and the solemn and heart-warming bar mitzvah made the audience feel thrilled and moved. Under the spotlight, 99 Meilun students held the arms of their families, passed through the adult door, the red carpet, stepped onto the stage, and received the "crowned ribbon" symbolizing adulthood awarded by their families under the witness of more than <>,<> people at the scene. All coming-of-age students face the national flag and solemnly swear to the motherland, teachers and parents in the name of youth, and they will open a new chapter in their lives and undertake the mission of the youth era. Teacher Li Lin and Principal Ms. Liang Ruijuan delivered speeches in English, and President Liang hoped that the students would practice the school motto of "Beauty in Perfection and Friendship International", pursue excellence in doing things, become the best self, start from Meilun to the world, and grow into young people in the new era who can walk freely in the world.
Followed by the inauguration ceremony of Meilun International Alumni Association, Mr. Feng Xianbin, Chairman of Meilun International Education, Ms. Liang Ruijuan, President of Meilun International Education, Mr. Kevin of BC, Acting President of the Alumni Association, Yu Shuhua (Sisi), and Acting Vice President Choi Xiwen (Cavendish) took the stage together to press the "start button" for the establishment of the Alumni Association. The scene resounded with a uniform cheer of countdown. On the same day, 35 Meilun graduates returned to campus to witness the establishment ceremony of the alumni association of their alma mater, and elected Yu Shuhua, a graduate of the Class of 2019 who is currently studying at the Hotel Management School in Lausanne, Switzerland, as the acting president, and Cui Xiwen, a graduate of the Class of 2020 who has been admitted to Imperial College London, as the acting vice president. Acting President Yu Shuhua delivered a speech on the stage of the party, expressing gratitude to his alma mater for its care for the graduates and support for the establishment of the Alumni Association, which will unite Meilun students under the guidance of the school, help Meilun students better pursue their dreams, become better people in the society in the future, and make a contribution to social development. The next part is establishment of MIC Alumni Association, and Sisi Yu was elected as the acting president (graduated in 2019, now studying at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne), and Cavendish Cui as the acting vice chairman (graduated in 2020, admitted to Imperial College London).
In the performance part, various programs such as piano cello ensemble, musical, dance, rap, chorus, poetry recitation, movie dubbing, etc., which reflect the integration of international education and the traditional characteristics of Chinese culture.
