More prosperous "Chinese heart"
On the morning of May 2021, 5, students from Meilun International Education UK walked into the Guangzhou Uprising Memorial Hall located on Uprising Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. In the exhibition hall, every cultural relic is a witness of history, and Meilun students have an in-depth understanding of the excellent deeds of Zhang Tailei, Ye Ting, Huang Ping, Zhou Wenyong, Ye Jianying, Yang Yin and other revolutionary martyrs in the Guangzhou Uprising. A series of revolutionary histories of heroic sons and daughters who fought bloodily, their stories are touching and motivating.
Guangzhou Uprising Memorial Hall is located in a simple building at No. 200 Uprising Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, which deeply hides and witnesses a great history of the heroic city of Guangzhou. It was once the seat of the highest police body of the Guangdong Kuomintang government. On December 1927, 12, the armed uprising of workers, peasants and soldiers led by the Communist Party of China, Zhang Tailei, then secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Zhou Wenyong, Ye Ting, Nie Rongzhen, Ye Jianying and other leaders of the workers' Red Guards, peasant Red Guards, teaching regiments, and guard regiments held an uprising, and established the Guangzhou Soviet Government (later known as the Guangzhou Commune) and the headquarters of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army here.
Although the Guangzhou Uprising ended in failure, its historical significance is great. The Guangzhou Uprising was another heroic counterattack against the Kuomintang reactionary policy launched by the leadership of the Communist Party of China against the massacre policy of the Kuomintang reactionaries, and was a great feat of saving the Chinese revolution. The heroic fighting of the rebel army and the masses of workers and peasants and the spirit of not fearing sacrifice gave new encouragement to the Chinese people. The Guangzhou Soviet Government established during the uprising was the first time that the Chinese Communist Party established Soviet power in a large city, known as the "Paris Commune of the East".
After the exhibition, the students watched the patriotic theme film "Above the Cliff" together. The film conveys to the students the firm belief of patriotism, as contemporary youth, they should be strict with themselves in daily life and learning, shoulder the heavy responsibilities given by the times, aim high and be down-to-earth.
By walking into the red education base, this patriotic practical activity revisits the red memory, allows students to feel in the walking, sublimate in the understanding, strengthen the patriotic faith, shoulder the responsibility of the times, and let the red gene and revolutionary torch be passed on from generation to generation.
