These words came at the close of an international video conference. Students and teachers from several countries, without prior agreement, mentioned the same name—MIC.
On the evening of April 22, World Earth Day, foreign teachers at MIC organized student participation in a Generation Global international video conference. Young people from five different countries and over ten international schools gathered to discuss the theme "Our Power, Our Planet."
MIC students not only actively answered questions but also bravely voiced their perspectives. It is particularly worth highlighting that student Riley Cao confidently stepped onto the "world stage," using fluent English to share China's concrete environmental actions and efforts with peers and teachers from multiple countries. Her sharing was met with unanimous praise and revealed the compelling confidence and vision of MIC students—rooted in China, yet with a truly global outlook.
If Earth Day was a look outward, then Book Day was an exploration inward.
On the afternoon of April 23, MIC hosted a uniquely engaging World Book Day event, themed "Kindred Books, Kindred Spirits," structured around the 16 Myers-Briggs personality types.
In front of the giant personality portrait wall, students excitedly searched for their own type.
Inside personality blind boxes were personalized book recommendations waiting to be discovered.
The wall of famous authors matched with their MBTI types drew exclamations of "I can't believe we have the same type!"
The "Blind Book Challenge" offered a chance to guess the correct title and win the book for free.
Whether you are a reserved "I" type or an outgoing "E" type, you could find a book that resonates with your soul.The school also held its annual "Reading Stars" award ceremony, encouraging students to grow through reading and measure the world through books.
