Sukhomlinsky, a famous educator in the former Soviet Union, once said, "If there is only school without family, or there is only family without school, one cannot undertake the detailed and complex task of shaping human beings alone." In addition to the school, the growth environment of students also includes family and society. The effect of school education cannot be separated from the support and cooperation of family and the positive and healthy social environment. In order to further strengthen the communication between home and school, summarize the behavior of students in the first half of the semester, better combine school education with family education, and make plans for the next stage of learning and exam preparation, our school organized a parent meeting for grades G10--G12 on April 16, 2021.
First, the parents' meeting of each grade is held in the lecture hall. At the G10 meeting, Ms. Xin Lu, Director of the Teaching Office, introduced the A-level courses and guided the course selection for the new G11, giving parents more advice on course selection. From the perspective of college application, the college admission Office will provide parents with the necessary course support to interpret the relevant majors in college. G11 and G12 are more likely to talk about academic and promotion issues. Among them are the analysis of the results of the school model examination, and the students need to know some of the latest policies and things to pay attention to before going abroad. The Teaching Office and the Admission Office jointly completed the parents' meeting of the three grades efficiently. After the lecture hall meeting, parents followed the head teacher back to the class. The head teacher introduced the teaching direction and focus of this semester to the parents in detail, as well as the performance of the students in all aspects of this half semester, hoping that the parents can find the bright spot of their children, more communication, more encouragement. At the same time, focus on the students in April mock test results were analyzed and summarized, affirming the children's achievements, but also hope that parents to children's shortcomings to give care and guidance, strive to let the children make greater progress!
Finally, parents and teachers of each subject had a one-on-one interview in the gymnasium. The teachers made detailed communication with the parents according to the performance of their children in school, so that each parent could understand their children's situation, further enhance the cooperation between home and school, and form a joint educational force. The warmth of the family gives children the power to grow up, and the learning of the school gives children the energy to grow up. Through this parent-teacher meeting, the distance between parents, schools and teachers is shortened, and a positive and harmonious environment for exam preparation is created. I believe that with the joint efforts of the school and parents, the students will be able to face the upcoming CAIE exam in the best state and achieve good results in the exam!
