From March 22 to 25, a high-level delegation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) visited Majestic International College (MIC) for a three-day certification preparatory visit. As globally recognized benchmarks for educational quality, CIS and WASC are known for their rigorous evaluation standards and student-centered accreditation principles. This visit served not only as a professional review of MIC’s preparatory work but also as a deep alignment of educational philosophies.

Since September last year, MIC has systematically launched its dual-certification preparation efforts. Focusing on key areas such as school governance, teaching practices, student well-being, and campus safety, the college developed a comprehensive set of application materials that fully demonstrate its current educational status and achievements. These materials received high praise from the visiting officials upon submission.

During the visit, the delegation’s itinerary covered all aspects of teaching, management, activities, and services. A standout moment was the campus learning tour led by students from the BC and UK curriculum programs. Fluent in English and brimming with confidence, the students introduced the curriculum system and their daily learning experiences to the delegation, showcasing the well-rounded competence of MIC students.

The delegation also conducted classroom observations, held discussions with teachers, students, and parents, and participated in campus activities such as the Pink Shirt Day event and table tennis competitions. Combining international education trends with MIC’s context, the delegation worked alongside MIC’s task force to co-develop a follow-up plan, providing professional guidance for the college’s high-quality development.

Notably, the delegation fully affirmed the strong alignment between MIC’s educational mission and the core missions of CIS and WASC — “Rooted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, to build a world-class international high school with global influence, cultivating internationally elite talents with Chinese heritage and a global vision.” This resonates deeply with the two organizations’ student-centered, excellence-driven philosophy.螢幕截圖 2026-07-23 16.22.54.png

Moreover, MIC’s integration of its educational ethos — “joy in learning, collaboration, innovation, and truth-seeking” — into the entire teaching and learning process, along with its solid practices in fostering students’ critical thinking, independent learning skills, and cross-cultural communication abilities, also received high recognition from the delegation.

Since its founding in 2017, MIC has remained unwavering in its commitment to the holistic education philosophy, placing students at the center of its teaching practices—a approach that has earned widespread recognition from both students and parents. In 2026, MIC enters its ninth year of operation, marked by continuous growth in scale, an increasingly strong faculty, a steadily improving education system, and rising academic achievements for further studies. The school has cultivated seven cohorts of graduates, all of whom have advanced to world-class universities for their further education.

The full recognition of MIC’s educational philosophy and practices by CIS and WASC serves as the best testament to the school’s accomplishments, and also signifies authoritative endorsement of MIC’s original mission and direction in international education. Looking ahead, MIC will continue to root itself in China’s educational heritage while aligning with cutting-edge international standards, striving to become a benchmark international school in the Greater Bay Area and even across the nation.
