On August 7, the MIC 2026 Summer Camp drew to a close amidst abundant rewards and warm memories. Five days—brief as summer fireworks—yet they kindled a light in every participant's eyes.

Over these five days, guided by an all-foreign faculty team, students immersed themselves in five core courses: English, Mathematics & Science, Psychology, Art, and Physical Education. In English class, they crossed the bridge from "afraid to speak" to "speaking freely"; in Mathematics & Science, logic and experimentation sparked intellectual fireworks; in Psychology, they gazed into the mirror of self-awareness; in Art, they created their own "masterpieces" with their hands; and in PE, they experienced the power of teamwork through sweat and collaboration.

Beyond the classroom, fencing and equestrianism cultivated a character that balances courage with elegance; the visit to the Guangna Academy Nanoscience Museum opened a window into the microscopic world; fashion design classes gave fabric a voice and personality; floral arrangement taught focus and serenity through every leaf and bloom; and swing dance, water fights, and movie nights scattered the laughter of youth across the summer evenings.

At the closing ceremony, a group of outstanding students who had excelled in academics, collaboration, and personal breakthroughs took to the stage to receive their awards, earning the applause and recognition they deserved.

Four student representatives stepped onto the stage one by one. Their words carried no grandiosity—only the raw, authentic power of growth.

Cici recounted the brilliant moments inside and outside the classroom—Chris made English come alive; Raymond led everyone to explore the mysteries of psychology; Kay turned mathematics into a joyful exercise in teamwork; Rasa's ultimate frisbee sessions were full of energy; Mike guided students in designing their very own toys; and Benedict opened up a vision of the world's top universities. Beyond the courses, fencing and equestrianism taught her courage and elegance; fashion design and floral arrangement let her experience the beauty of creation; and the water fights and movie nights became "treasured memories accompanied by summer breezes and the chirping of cicadas." Her sharing painted a complete picture of a summer camp rich in both curriculum and activities.

Peter turned his gaze to the changes happening among his peers. Beginning with the "nervousness and anticipation" of their first gathering on August 3, he witnessed the gradual transformation from shyness to boldness, from unfamiliarity to unspoken understanding. "We supported each other in group tasks and discussed solutions whenever we faced difficulties," he said. Precious friendships blossomed through collaboration, and communal living taught everyone independence, tolerance, and responsibility. "The end of summer camp is not a finish line, but a new starting point." His words revealed how the camp quietly but profoundly changed every individual.

Amy drew inspiration from the phrase "Jie Zi Xu Mi" (a mustard seed containing Mount Sumeru), which she learned during the visit to Guangna Academy—"from the smallest things, we see the deepest truths." The discipline of waking up early taught her that "those who master small matters can handle great ones"; team tasks showed her that "no individual is stronger than a harmonious team"; and obeying rules made her realize that "rules are not restrictions, but protection." These lessons will not fade with the camp's end—in academics and in life, "small things" are everywhere, and within them, "Sumeru" is always hidden. Her reflection elevated the camp experience from "what we did" to "what we understood."Cici expressed gratitude to the teachers for "not just imparting knowledge, but igniting the spark of curiosity." Looking back at the uncertainty she felt on the first day and the confidence she now holds, she called these five days "a treasure earned with courage." She closed with a powerful line: "This is where we end, and this is where we begin."

In this closing address, the principal spoke with heartfelt emotion, saying that he was "both surprised and deeply moved" by the students' presentations that morning. He encouraged everyone, noting that what the summer camp brought them went far beyond knowledge itself—it was a leap in ways of thinking and an expansion of their worldview. He used the metaphor of mountain climbing—the view from the foot of the mountain and the view from the summit are entirely different worlds. The climb may be arduous, but only by reaching the peak can one truly experience the magnificence of "surveying all lesser mountains from above."
